This rainbow carton of eggs was collected just before Thanksgiving 2021. Darkest brown eggs on the left are Welsummer from Hoover’s Hatchery. Light brown are large Barred Rock eggs. Speckled olive (center left) are Whiting x Welsummer F1. The jade green eggs (center right) are laid by an F2 hen from Sky Girl Farm.This combination is also true for Prairie bluebells and perhaps for other chickens yet to be developed.
